In mydistress Icalled upon theLORD, andcried to myGod: and he didhear myvoice out of histemple, and mycry did enter into hisears.
Then theearthshook andtrembled; thefoundations ofheavenmoved andshook, because he waswroth.
There wentup asmoke out of hisnostrils, andfire out of hismouthdevoured:coals werekindled by it.
Hebowed theheavens also, and camedown; anddarkness was under hisfeet.
And herode upon acherub, and didfly: and he wasseen upon thewings of thewind.
And hemadedarknesspavilions roundabout him, darkwaters, and thickclouds of theskies.
Through thebrightness before him werecoals offirekindled.
TheLORDthundered fromheaven, and the mostHighuttered hisvoice.
And he sentoutarrows, andscattered them;lightning, anddiscomfited them.
And thechannels of theseaappeared, thefoundations of theworld werediscovered, at therebuking of theLORD, at theblast of thebreath of hisnostrils.
Hesent fromabove, hetook me; hedrew me out ofmanywaters;
Hedelivered me from mystrongenemy, and from them thathated me: for they were toostrong for me.
Theyprevented me in theday of mycalamity: but theLORD was mystay.
He brought meforth also into a largeplace: hedelivered me, because hedelighted in me.
TheLORDrewarded me according to myrighteousness: according to thecleanness of myhands hath herecompensed me.
For I havekept theways of theLORD, and have not wickedlydeparted from myGod.
For all hisjudgments were before me: and as for hisstatutes, I did notdepart from them.
I was alsoupright before him, and havekept myself from mineiniquity.
Therefore theLORD hathrecompensed me according to myrighteousness; according to mycleanness in his eyesight.
With themerciful thou wilt shew thyselfmerciful, and with theuprightman thou wilt shew thyselfupright.
With thepure thou wilt shew thyselfpure; and with thefroward thou wilt shew thyselfunsavoury.
And theafflictedpeople thou wiltsave: but thineeyes are upon thehaughty, that thou mayest bring themdown.
For thou art mylamp, OLORD: and theLORD willlighten mydarkness.
For by thee I haverun through atroop: by myGod have I leapedover awall.
As forGod, hisway isperfect; theword of theLORD istried: he is abuckler to all them thattrust in him.
For who isGod,save theLORD? and who is arock, save ourGod?
God is mystrength andpower: and hemaketh mywayperfect.
Hemaketh myfeetlikehinds' feet: andsetteth me upon my highplaces.
Heteacheth myhands towar; so that abow ofsteel isbroken by minearms.
Thou hast alsogiven me theshield of thysalvation: and thygentleness hath made megreat.
Thou hastenlarged mysteps under me; so that myfeet did notslip.
I havepursued mineenemies, anddestroyed them; and turned notagain until I hadconsumed them.
And I haveconsumed them, andwounded them, that they could notarise: yea, they arefallen under myfeet.
For thou hastgirded me withstrength tobattle: them that roseup against me hast thousubdued under me.
Thou hast alsogiven me thenecks of mineenemies, that I mightdestroy them thathate me.
Theylooked, but there was none tosave; even unto theLORD, but heanswered them not.
Then did Ibeat them as small as thedust of theearth, I didstamp them as themire of thestreet, and did spread themabroad.
Thou also hastdelivered me from thestrivings of mypeople, thou hastkept me to behead of theheathen: apeople which Iknew not shallserve me.
Strangers shallsubmit themselves unto me: as soon as theyhear, they shall beobedient unto me.
Strangers shall fadeaway, and they shall beafraid out of their closeplaces.
TheLORDliveth; andblessed be myrock; andexalted be theGod of therock of mysalvation.
It isGod thatavengeth me, and that bringethdown thepeople under me,
And that bringeth meforth from mineenemies: thou also hast lifted me up onhigh above them that roseup against me: thou hastdelivered me from theviolentman.
Therefore I will givethanks unto thee, OLORD, among theheathen, and I will singpraises unto thyname.
He is thetower ofsalvation for hisking: andshewethmercy to hisanointed, untoDavid, and to hisseedforevermore.
