AndDavidsaid, Is thereyet any that isleft of thehouse ofSaul, that I mayshew himkindness forJonathan's sake?
2 And there was of thehouse ofSaul aservant whosename wasZiba. And when they hadcalled him untoDavid, thekingsaid unto him, Art thouZiba? And hesaid, Thyservant is he.
3 And thekingsaid, Is therenot yetany of thehouse ofSaul, that I mayshew thekindness ofGod unto him? AndZibasaid unto theking,Jonathan hath yet ason, which islame on hisfeet.
4 And thekingsaid unto him,Where is he? AndZibasaid unto theking, Behold, he is in thehouse ofMachir, theson ofAmmiel, inLodebar.
5 ThenkingDavidsent, andfetched him out of thehouse ofMachir, theson ofAmmiel, fromLodebar.
6 Now whenMephibosheth, theson ofJonathan, theson ofSaul, wascome untoDavid, hefell on hisface, and didreverence. AndDavidsaid,Mephibosheth. And heanswered, Behold thyservant!
7 AndDavidsaid unto him,Fear not: for I willsurelyshew theekindness forJonathan thyfather's sake, and willrestore thee all theland ofSaul thyfather; and thou shalteatbread at mytablecontinually.
8 And hebowed himself, andsaid, What is thyservant, that thou shouldestlook upon such adeaddog as I am?
9 Then thekingcalled toZiba,Saul'sservant, andsaid unto him, I havegiven unto thymaster'sson all thatpertained toSaul and to all hishouse.
10 Thou therefore, and thysons, and thyservants, shalltill theland for him, and thou shaltbring in the fruits, that thymaster'sson may havefood toeat: butMephibosheth thymaster'sson shalleatbreadalway at mytable. NowZiba hadfifteensons andtwentyservants.
11 ThensaidZiba unto theking, According to all that mylord theking hathcommanded hisservant, so shall thyservantdo. As forMephibosheth, said the king, he shalleat at mytable, asone of theking'ssons.
12 AndMephibosheth had ayoungson, whosename wasMicha. And all thatdwelt in thehouse ofZiba wereservants untoMephibosheth.
13 SoMephiboshethdwelt inJerusalem: for he dideatcontinually at theking'stable; and waslame onboth hisfeet.
