At thattime theLORDsaid unto me,Hew theetwotables ofstone like unto thefirst, and comeup unto me into themount, andmake thee anark of wood.
2 And I willwrite on thetables thewords that were in thefirsttables which thoubrakest, and thou shaltput them in the ark.
3 And Imade anark ofshittimwood, andhewedtwotables ofstone like unto thefirst, and wentup into themount, having thetwotables in mine hand.
4 And hewrote on thetables, according to thefirstwriting, thetencommandments, which theLORDspake unto you in themount out of themidst of thefire in theday of theassembly: and theLORD gave them unto me.
5 And Iturned myself and camedown from themount, andput thetables in theark which I hadmade; and there they be, as theLORD commanded me.
6 And thechildren ofIsrael took theirjourney from Beeroth of the children ofJaakan toMosera: thereAarondied, and there he wasburied; andEleazar hisson ministered in the priest's office in his stead.
7 From thence theyjourneyed untoGudgodah; and fromGudgodah toJotbath, aland ofrivers of waters.
8 At thattime theLORDseparated thetribe ofLevi, tobear theark of thecovenant of theLORD, tostandbefore theLORD tominister unto him, and tobless in hisname, unto this day.
9 WhereforeLevi hath nopart norinheritance with hisbrethren; theLORD is hisinheritance, according as theLORD thyGod promised him.
10 And Istayed in themount, according to thefirsttime,fortydays andfortynights; and theLORDhearkened unto me at thattime also, and theLORDwould not destroy thee.
11 And theLORDsaid unto me,Arise,take thyjourneybefore thepeople, that they may goin andpossess theland, which Isware unto theirfathers to give unto them.
12 And now,Israel, what doth theLORD thyGodrequire of thee, but tofear theLORD thyGod, towalk in all hisways, and tolove him, and toserve theLORD thyGod with all thyheart and with all thy soul,
13 Tokeep thecommandments of theLORD, and hisstatutes, which Icommand thee thisday for thy good?
14 Behold, theheaven and theheaven ofheavens is theLORD'S thyGod, the earth also, with all that therein is.
15 Only theLORD had adelight in thyfathers tolove them, and hechose theirseedafter them, even you above allpeople, as it is this day.
16Circumcise therefore theforeskin of yourheart, and be no morestiffnecked.
17 For theLORD yourGod isGod ofgods, andLord oflords, agreatGod, amighty, and aterrible, whichregardeth notpersons, nortaketh reward:
18 He dothexecute thejudgment of thefatherless andwidow, andloveth thestranger, ingiving himfood and raiment.
19Love ye therefore thestranger: for ye werestrangers in theland of Egypt.
20 Thou shaltfear theLORD thyGod; him shalt thouserve, and to him shalt thoucleave, andswear by his name.
21 He is thypraise, and he is thyGod, that hathdone for thee thesegreat and terriblethings, which thineeyes have seen.
22 Thyfathers wentdown intoEgypt with threescore andtenpersons; and now theLORD thyGod hathmade thee as thestars ofheaven for multitude.
