KJV · Textus Receptus
When aman hathtaken awife, andmarried her, and it come to pass that shefind nofavour in hiseyes, because he hathfoundsomeuncleanness in her: then let himwrite her abill ofdivorcement, andgive it in herhand, andsend her out of his house.
And when she is departedout of hishouse, she maygo and beanother man's wife.
And if thelatterhusbandhate her, andwrite her abill ofdivorcement, andgiveth it in herhand, andsendeth her out of hishouse; or if thelatterhusbanddie, whichtook her to be his wife;
Herformerhusband, which sent heraway, may nottake heragain to be hiswife, after that she isdefiled; for that isabominationbefore theLORD: and thou shalt not cause theland tosin, which theLORD thyGodgiveth thee for an inheritance.
When aman hathtaken anewwife, he shall not goout towar, neither shall he becharged with anybusiness: but he shall befree athomeoneyear, and shall cheerup hiswife which he hath taken.
No man shalltake thenether or the uppermillstone topledge: for hetaketh a man'slife to pledge.
If aman befoundstealingany of hisbrethren of thechildren ofIsrael, and makethmerchandise of him, orselleth him; then thatthief shalldie; and thou shaltputevilaway from among you.
Takeheed in theplague ofleprosy, that thouobservediligently, anddo according to all that thepriests theLevites shallteach you: as Icommanded them, so ye shallobserve to do.
Remember what theLORD thyGoddid untoMiriam by theway, after that ye were comeforth out of Egypt.
When thou dostlend thybrotheranything, thou shalt notgo into hishouse tofetch his pledge.
Thou shaltstandabroad, and theman to whom thou dostlend shall bringout thepledge abroad unto thee.
And if theman bepoor, thou shalt notsleep with his pledge:
In anycase thou shaltdeliver him thepledgeagain when thesun goethdown, that he maysleep in his ownraiment, andbless thee: and it shall berighteousness unto theebefore theLORD thy God.
Thou shalt notoppress an hiredservant that ispoor andneedy, whether he be of thybrethren, or of thystrangers that are in thyland within thy gates:
At hisday thou shaltgive him hishire, neither shall thesun godown upon it; for he ispoor, andsetteth hisheart upon it: lest hecry against thee unto theLORD, and it be sin unto thee.
Thefathers shall not be put todeath for thechildren, neither shall thechildren be put todeath for thefathers: everyman shall be put todeath for his own sin.
Thou shalt notpervert thejudgment of thestranger, nor of thefatherless; nortake awidow'sraiment to pledge:
But thou shaltremember that thou wast abondman inEgypt, and theLORD thyGodredeemed thee thence: therefore Icommand thee todo this thing.
When thou cuttestdown thineharvest in thyfield, and hastforgot asheaf in thefield, thou shalt not goagain tofetch it: it shall be for thestranger, for thefatherless, and for thewidow: that theLORD thyGod maybless thee in all thework of thine hands.
When thoubeatest thine olivetree, thou shalt not go over theboughsagain: it shall be for thestranger, for thefatherless, and for the widow.
When thougatherest the grapes of thyvineyard, thou shalt notglean itafterward: it shall be for thestranger, for thefatherless, and for the widow.
And thou shaltremember that thou wast abondman in theland ofEgypt: therefore Icommand thee todo this thing.
