Chapter 15
KJV · Textus Receptus
ThensangMoses and thechildren ofIsrael thissong unto theLORD, andspake, saying, I willsing unto theLORD, for he hathtriumphedgloriously: thehorse and hisrider hath hethrown into the sea.
TheLORD is mystrength andsong, and he is become mysalvation:he is myGod, and I will prepare him anhabitation; myfather'sGod, and I will exalt him.
TheLORD is aman ofwar: theLORD is his name.
Pharaoh'schariots and hishost hath hecast into thesea: hischosencaptains also aredrowned in theRed sea.
Thedepths havecovered them: theysank into thebottomas a stone.
Thy righthand, OLORD, is becomeglorious inpower: thy righthand, OLORD, hath dashed inpieces the enemy.
And in thegreatness of thineexcellency thou hastoverthrown them that rose upagainst thee: thou sentestforth thywrath, whichconsumed them as stubble.
And with theblast of thynostrils thewaters were gatheredtogether, thefloods stoodupright as anheap, and thedepths werecongealed in theheart of the sea.
Theenemysaid, I willpursue, I willovertake, I willdivide thespoil; mylust shall besatisfied upon them; I willdraw mysword, myhand shall destroy them.
Thou didstblow with thywind, theseacovered them: theysank aslead in themighty waters.
Who is like unto thee, OLORD, among thegods? who is like thee, glorious inholiness, fearful inpraises, doing wonders?
Thou in thymercy hast ledforth thepeoplewhich thou hastredeemed: thou hastguided them in thystrength unto thyholy habitation.
Thepeople shallhear, and beafraid:sorrow shall takehold on theinhabitants of Palestina.
Then thedukes ofEdom shall beamazed; the mightymen ofMoab, trembling shall takehold upon them; all theinhabitants ofCanaan shall melt away.
Fear anddread shallfall upon them; by thegreatness of thinearm they shall be asstill as astone; till thypeople passover, OLORD, till thepeople passover, which thou hast purchased.
Thou shaltbring them in, andplant them in themountain of thineinheritance, in theplace, OLORD, which thou hastmade for thee to dwellin, in theSanctuary, OLord, which thyhands have established.
TheLORD shallreign forever and ever.
For thehorse ofPharaoh wentin with hischariots and with hishorsemen into thesea, and theLORD broughtagain thewaters of thesea upon them; but thechildren ofIsraelwent ondry land in themidst of the sea.
AndMiriam theprophetess, thesister ofAaron, took atimbrel in herhand; and all thewomen wentoutafter her withtimbrels and with dances.
AndMiriamanswered them,Sing ye to theLORD, for he hathtriumphedgloriously; thehorse and hisrider hath hethrown into the sea.
SoMosesbroughtIsrael from theRedsea, and they wentout into thewilderness ofShur; and theywentthreedays in thewilderness, andfound no water.
And when theycame toMarah, theycould notdrink of thewaters ofMarah, for they werebitter: therefore thename of it wascalled Marah.
And thepeoplemurmured againstMoses, saying, What shall we drink?
And hecried unto theLORD; and theLORDshewed him atree, which when he hadcast into thewaters, thewaters were madesweet: there hemade for them astatute and anordinance, and there he proved them,
Andsaid, If thou wiltdiligentlyhearken to thevoice of theLORD thyGod, and wiltdo that which isright in hissight, and wilt giveear to hiscommandments, andkeep all hisstatutes, I willput none of thesediseases upon thee, which I havebrought upon theEgyptians: for I am theLORD that healeth thee.
And theycame toElim, where weretwelvewells ofwater, and threescore andten palmtrees: and theyencamped there by the waters.
