KJV · Textus Receptus
And theLORDsaid untoMoses,See, I havemade thee agod toPharaoh: andAaron thybrother shall be thy prophet.
Thou shaltspeak all that Icommand thee: andAaron thybrother shallspeak untoPharaoh, that hesend thechildren ofIsrael out of his land.
And I willhardenPharaoh'sheart, andmultiply mysigns and mywonders in theland of Egypt.
ButPharaoh shall nothearken unto you, that I maylay myhand uponEgypt, and bringforth minearmies, and mypeople thechildren ofIsrael, out of theland ofEgypt bygreat judgments.
And theEgyptians shallknow that I am theLORD, when I stretchforth minehand uponEgypt, and bringout thechildren ofIsrael from among them.
AndMoses andAarondid as theLORDcommanded them, so did they.
AndMoses wasfourscoreyearsold, andAaronfourscore andthreeyearsold, when theyspake unto Pharaoh.
And theLORDspake untoMoses and untoAaron, saying,
WhenPharaoh shallspeak unto you, saying,Shew amiracle for you: then thou shaltsay untoAaron,Take thyrod, andcast itbeforePharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
AndMoses andAaron wentin untoPharaoh, and theydid so as theLORD hadcommanded: andAaron castdown hisrodbeforePharaoh, andbefore hisservants, and it became a serpent.
ThenPharaoh alsocalled the wisemen and thesorcerers: now themagicians ofEgypt, they alsodid in likemanner with their enchantments.
For they castdown everyman hisrod, and they becameserpents: butAaron'srod swallowedup their rods.
And hehardenedPharaoh'sheart, that hehearkened not unto them; as theLORD had said.
And theLORDsaid untoMoses,Pharaoh'sheart ishardened, herefuseth to let thepeople go.
Get thee untoPharaoh in themorning; lo, he goethout unto thewater; and thou shaltstand by theriver'sbrink against hecome; and therod which wasturned to aserpent shalt thoutake in thine hand.
And thou shaltsay unto him, TheLORDGod of theHebrews hathsent me unto thee, saying, Let mypeoplego, that they mayserve me in thewilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
Thussaith theLORD, In this thou shaltknow that I am theLORD: behold, I willsmite with therod that is in minehand upon thewaters which are in theriver, and they shall beturned to blood.
And thefish that is in theriver shalldie, and theriver shallstink; and theEgyptians shalllothe todrink of thewater of the river.
And theLORDspake untoMoses,Say untoAaron,Take thyrod, and stretchout thinehand upon thewaters ofEgypt, upon theirstreams, upon theirrivers, and upon theirponds, and upon all theirpools ofwater, that they may becomeblood; and that there may beblood throughout all theland ofEgypt, both in vessels ofwood, and in vessels of stone.
AndMoses andAarondid so, as theLORDcommanded; and he liftedup therod, andsmote thewaters that were in theriver, in thesight ofPharaoh, and in thesight of hisservants; and all thewaters that were in theriver wereturned to blood.
And thefish that was in theriverdied; and theriverstank, and theEgyptianscould notdrink of thewater of theriver; and there wasblood throughout all theland of Egypt.
And themagicians ofEgyptdid so with theirenchantments: andPharaoh'sheart washardened, neither did hehearken unto them; as theLORD had said.
AndPharaohturned andwent into hishouse, neither did heset hisheart to this also.
And all theEgyptiansdigged roundabout theriver forwater todrink; for theycould notdrink of thewater of the river.
Andsevendays werefulfilled, after that theLORD hadsmitten the river.
