Chapter 34
KJV · Textus Receptus
And theword of theLORD came unto me, saying,
Son ofman,prophesy against theshepherds ofIsrael,prophesy, andsay unto them, Thussaith theLordGOD unto theshepherds;Woe be to theshepherds ofIsrael that dofeed themselves! should not theshepherdsfeed the flocks?
Yeeat thefat, and yeclothe you with thewool, yekill them that arefed: but yefeed not the flock.
Thediseased have ye notstrengthened, neither have yehealed that which wassick, neither have ye boundup that which wasbroken, neither have ye broughtagain that which was drivenaway, neither have yesought that which waslost; but withforce and withcruelty have ye ruled them.
And they werescattered, because there is noshepherd: and they becamemeat to all thebeasts of thefield, when they were scattered.
Mysheepwandered through all themountains, and upon everyhighhill: yea, myflock wasscattered upon all theface of theearth, and none didsearch or seek after them.
Therefore, yeshepherds,hear theword of the LORD;
As Ilive,saith theLordGOD, surely because myflock became aprey, and myflock becamemeat to everybeast of thefield, because there was noshepherd, neither did myshepherdssearch for myflock, but theshepherdsfed themselves, andfed not my flock;
Therefore, O yeshepherds,hear theword of the LORD;
Thussaith theLordGOD; Behold, I am against theshepherds; and I willrequire myflock at theirhand, and cause them tocease fromfeeding theflock; neither shall theshepherdsfeed themselves any more; for I willdeliver myflock from theirmouth, that they may not be meat for them.
For thussaith theLordGOD; Behold, I, even I, will bothsearch mysheep, and seek them out.
As ashepherd seekethout hisflock in theday that he isamong hissheep that arescattered; so will I seekout mysheep, and willdeliver them out of allplaces where they have beenscattered in thecloudy anddark day.
And I will bring themout from thepeople, andgather them from thecountries, and willbring them to their ownland, andfeed them upon themountains ofIsrael by therivers, and in all the inhabitedplaces of the country.
I willfeed them in agoodpasture, and upon thehighmountains ofIsrael shall theirfold be: there shall theylie in agoodfold, and in afatpasture shall theyfeed upon themountains of Israel.
I willfeed myflock, and I will cause them to liedown,saith theLord GOD.
I willseek that which waslost, and bringagain that which was drivenaway, and will bindup that which wasbroken, and willstrengthen that which wassick: but I willdestroy thefat and thestrong; I willfeed them with judgment.
And as foryou, O myflock, thussaith theLordGOD; Behold, Ijudge betweencattle andcattle, between therams and the he goats.
Seemeth it a smallthing unto you to have eatenup thegoodpasture, but ye must treaddown with yourfeet theresidue of yourpastures? and to havedrunk of thedeepwaters, but ye mustfoul theresidue with your feet?
And as for myflock, theyeat that which ye havetrodden with yourfeet; and theydrink that which ye havefouled with your feet.
Therefore thussaith theLordGOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, willjudge between thefatcattle and between thelean cattle.
Because ye havethrust withside and withshoulder, andpushed all thediseased with yourhorns, till ye havescattered them abroad;
Therefore will Isave myflock, and they shall no more be aprey; and I willjudge betweencattle and cattle.
And I will setuponeshepherd over them, and he shallfeed them, even myservantDavid; he shallfeed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
And I theLORD will be theirGod, and myservantDavid aprinceamong them; I theLORD have spoken it.
And I willmake with them acovenant ofpeace, and will cause theevilbeasts tocease out of theland: and they shalldwellsafely in thewilderness, andsleep in thewoods.
And I willmake them and the places roundabout myhill ablessing; and I will cause theshower to comedown in hisseason; there shall beshowers of blessing.
And thetree of thefield shallyield herfruit, and theearth shallyield herincrease, and they shall besafe in theirland, and shallknow that I am theLORD, when I havebroken thebands of theiryoke, anddelivered them out of thehand of those that served themselves of them.
And they shall no more be aprey to theheathen, neither shall thebeast of thelanddevour them; but they shalldwellsafely, and none shall make them afraid.
And I will raiseup for them aplant ofrenown, and they shall be no moreconsumed withhunger in theland, neitherbear theshame of the heathen any more.
Thus shall theyknow that I theLORD theirGod am with them, and that they, even thehouse ofIsrael, are mypeople,saith theLord GOD.
Andye myflock, theflock of mypasture, aremen, and I am yourGod,saith theLord GOD.
