Chapter 7
KJV · Textus Receptus
Moreover theword of theLORD came unto me, saying,
Also, thouson ofman, thussaith theLordGOD unto theland ofIsrael; Anend, theend iscome upon thefourcorners of the land.
Now is theend come upon thee, and I willsend mineanger upon thee, and willjudge thee according to thyways, and willrecompense upon thee all thine abominations.
And mineeye shall notspare thee, neither will I havepity: but I willrecompense thyways upon thee, and thineabominations shall be in themidst of thee: and ye shallknow that I am the LORD.
Thussaith theLordGOD; Anevil, anonlyevil, behold, is come.
Anend iscome, theend iscome: itwatcheth for thee; behold, it is come.
Themorning iscome unto thee, O thou thatdwellest in theland: thetime iscome, theday oftrouble isnear, and not the soundingagain of the mountains.
Now will Ishortly pourout myfury upon thee, andaccomplish mineanger upon thee: and I willjudge thee according to thyways, and willrecompense thee for all thine abominations.
And mineeye shall notspare, neither will I havepity: I willrecompense thee according to thyways and thineabominations that are in themidst of thee; and ye shallknow that I am theLORD that smiteth.
Behold theday, behold, it iscome: themorning is goneforth; therod hathblossomed, pride hath budded.
Violence is risenup into arod ofwickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of theirmultitude, nor ofany of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them.
Thetime iscome, theday drawethnear: let not thebuyerrejoice, nor thesellermourn: forwrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
For theseller shall notreturn to that which issold, although they were yetalive: for thevision is touching the wholemultitude thereof, which shall notreturn; neither shallanystrengthen himself in theiniquity of his life.
They haveblown thetrumpet, even to make allready; but nonegoeth to thebattle: for mywrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
Thesword iswithout, and thepestilence and thefaminewithin: he that is in thefield shalldie with thesword; and he that is in thecity, famine andpestilence shall devour him.
But they thatescape of them shallescape, and shall be on themountains likedoves of thevalleys, all of themmourning, everyone for his iniquity.
Allhands shall befeeble, and allknees shall beweak as water.
They shall alsogird themselves withsackcloth, andhorror shallcover them; andshame shall be upon allfaces, andbaldness upon all their heads.
They shallcast theirsilver in thestreets, and theirgold shall beremoved: theirsilver and theirgold shall not beable todeliver them in theday of thewrath of theLORD: they shall notsatisfy theirsouls, neitherfill theirbowels: because it is thestumblingblock of their iniquity.
As for thebeauty of hisornament, heset it inmajesty: but theymade theimages of theirabominations and of their detestablethings therein: therefore have Iset it far from them.
And I willgive it into thehands of thestrangers for aprey, and to thewicked of theearth for aspoil; and they shall pollute it.
Myface will Iturn also from them, and they shallpollute mysecret place: for therobbers shallenter into it, and defile it.
Make achain: for theland isfull ofbloodycrimes, and thecity isfull of violence.
Wherefore I willbring theworst of theheathen, and they shallpossess theirhouses: I will also make thepomp of thestrong tocease; and their holyplaces shall bedefiled.
Destructioncometh; and they shallseek peace, and there shall be none.
Mischief shallcome uponmischief, andrumour shall be uponrumour; then shall theyseek avision of theprophet; but thelaw shallperish from thepriest, andcounsel from the ancients.
Theking shallmourn, and theprince shall beclothed withdesolation, and thehands of thepeople of theland shall betroubled: I willdo unto them after theirway, and according to theirdeserts will Ijudge them; and they shallknow that I am the LORD.
