AndJacobcalled unto hissons, andsaid, Gather yourselvestogether, that I maytell you that which shallbefall you in thelast days.
Gather yourselvestogether, andhear, yesons ofJacob; andhearken untoIsrael your father.
Reuben, thou art myfirstborn, mymight, and thebeginning of mystrength, theexcellency ofdignity, and theexcellency of power:
Unstable aswater, thou shalt notexcel; because thou wentestup to thyfather'sbed; then defiledstthou it: he wentup to my couch.
Simeon andLevi arebrethren;instruments ofcruelty are in their habitations.
O mysoul, come not thou into theirsecret; unto theirassembly, minehonour, be not thouunited: for in theiranger theyslew aman, and in theirselfwill they diggeddown a wall.
Cursed be theiranger, for it wasfierce; and theirwrath, for it wascruel: I willdivide them inJacob, andscatter them in Israel.
Judah, thou art he whom thybrethren shallpraise: thyhand shall be in theneck of thineenemies; thyfather'schildren shall bow down before thee.
Judah is alion'swhelp: from theprey, myson, thou art goneup: he stoopeddown, hecouched as alion, and as an oldlion; who shall rouse him up?
Thesceptre shall notdepart fromJudah, nor alawgiver from between hisfeet, untilShilohcome; and unto him shall thegathering of the people be.
Binding hisfoal unto thevine, and hisass'scolt unto the choicevine; hewashed hisgarments inwine, and hisclothes in theblood of grapes:
Hiseyes shall bered withwine, and histeethwhite with milk.
Zebulun shalldwell at thehaven of thesea; and he shall be for anhaven ofships; and hisborder shall be unto Zidon.
Issachar is astrongass couchingdown between two burdens:
And hesaw thatrest wasgood, and theland that it waspleasant; andbowed hisshoulder tobear, and became aservant unto tribute.
Dan shalljudge hispeople, asone of thetribes of Israel.
Dan shall be aserpent by theway, anadder in thepath, thatbiteth thehorseheels, so that hisrider shallfall backward.
I have waitedfor thysalvation, O LORD.
Gad, atroop shallovercome him: but he shallovercome at the last.
Out ofAsher hisbread shall befat, and he shallyieldroyal dainties.
Naphtali is ahind letloose: hegivethgoodly words.
Joseph is afruitfulbough, even afruitfulbough by awell; whosebranchesrun over the wall:
Thearchers have sorely grievedhim, andshot at him, and hated him:
But hisbowabode instrength, and thearms of hishands were madestrong by thehands of themighty God ofJacob; (from thence is theshepherd, thestone of Israel:)
Even by theGod of thyfather, who shallhelp thee; andby theAlmighty, who shallbless thee withblessings ofheavenabove, blessings of thedeep thatlieth under, blessings of thebreasts, and of the womb:
Theblessings of thyfather haveprevailed above theblessings of myprogenitors unto the utmostbound of theeverlastinghills: they shall be on thehead ofJoseph, and on the crown of thehead of him that wasseparate from his brethren.
Benjamin shallravin as awolf: in themorning he shalldevour theprey, and atnight he shalldivide the spoil.
All these are thetwelvetribes ofIsrael: and this is it that theirfatherspake unto them, andblessed them;everyone according to hisblessing he blessed them.
And hecharged them, andsaid unto them, I am to begathered unto mypeople:bury me with myfathers in thecave that is in thefield ofEphron the Hittite,
In thecave that is in thefield ofMachpelah, which isbeforeMamre, in theland ofCanaan, whichAbrahambought with thefield ofEphron theHittite for apossession of a buryingplace.
There theyburiedAbraham andSarah hiswife; there theyburiedIsaac andRebekah hiswife; and there Iburied Leah.
Thepurchase of thefield and of thecave that is therein was from thechildren of Heth.
And whenJacob had made anend ofcommanding hissons, he gatheredup hisfeet into thebed, and yielded up theghost, and wasgathered unto his people.
