Hear ye this, Opriests; andhearken, yehouse ofIsrael; and give yeear, Ohouse of theking; forjudgment is toward you, because ye have been asnare onMizpah, and anetspread upon Tabor.
2 And therevolters areprofound to makeslaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
3 IknowEphraim, andIsrael is nothid from me: for now, OEphraim, thou committestwhoredom, andIsrael is defiled.
4 They will notframe theirdoings toturn unto theirGod: for thespirit ofwhoredoms is in themidst of them, and they have notknown the LORD.
5 And thepride ofIsrael dothtestify to hisface: therefore shallIsrael andEphraimfall in theiriniquity;Judah also shall fall with them.
6 They shallgo with theirflocks and with theirherds toseek theLORD; but they shall notfind him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7 They have dealttreacherously against theLORD: for they havebegottenstrangechildren: now shall amonthdevour them with their portions.
8Blow ye thecornet inGibeah, and thetrumpet inRamah: cryaloud atBethaven,after thee, O Benjamin.
9Ephraim shall bedesolate in theday ofrebuke: among thetribes ofIsrael have I madeknown that which shall surely be.
10 Theprinces ofJudah were like them thatremove thebound: therefore I will pourout mywrath upon them like water.
11Ephraim isoppressed andbroken injudgment, because hewillinglywalkedafter the commandment.
12 Therefore will I be untoEphraim as amoth, and to thehouse ofJudah as rottenness.
13 WhenEphraimsaw hissickness, andJudah saw hiswound, thenwentEphraim to theAssyrian, andsent tokingJareb: yetcould he notheal you, norcure you of your wound.
14 For I will be untoEphraim as alion, and as a younglion to thehouse ofJudah: I, even I, willtear and goaway; I will takeaway, and none shall rescue him.
15 I willgo andreturn to myplace, till they acknowledge theiroffence, andseek myface: in theiraffliction they will seek me early.
