For thou hastmade of acity anheap; of adefencedcity aruin: apalace ofstrangers to be nocity; it shallnever be built.
Therefore shall thestrongpeopleglorify thee, thecity of theterriblenations shall fear thee.
For thou hast been astrength to thepoor, astrength to theneedy in hisdistress, arefuge from thestorm, ashadow from theheat, when theblast of the terribleones is as astorm against the wall.
Thou shalt bringdown thenoise ofstrangers, as theheat in a dryplace; even theheat with theshadow of acloud: thebranch of the terribleones shall be brought low.
And in thismountain shall theLORD ofhostsmake unto allpeople afeast of fatthings, afeast of wines on thelees, of fatthings full ofmarrow, of wines on thelees well refined.
And he willdestroy in thismountain theface of thecovering castover allpeople, and thevail that isspread over all nations.
He will swallowupdeath invictory; and theLordGOD will wipeawaytears from off allfaces; and therebuke of hispeople shall he takeaway from off all theearth: for theLORD hath spoken it.
And it shall besaid in thatday, Lo, this is ourGod; we havewaited for him, and he willsave us: this is theLORD; we havewaited for him, we will beglad andrejoice in his salvation.
For in thismountain shall thehand of theLORDrest, andMoab shall be troddendown under him, even asstraw is troddendown for thedunghill.
And he shall spreadforth hishands in themidst of them, as he thatswimmeth spreadethforth his hands toswim: and he shall bringdown theirpride together with thespoils of their hands.
And thefortress of the highfort of thywalls shall he bringdown, laylow, andbring to theground, even to the dust.
