KJV · Textus Receptus
In thatday shall thissong besung in theland ofJudah; We have astrongcity;salvation will Godappoint forwalls and bulwarks.
Open ye thegates, that therighteousnation whichkeepeth thetruth may enter in.
Thou wiltkeep him inperfectpeace, whosemind isstayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in theLORD forever: for in theLORDJEHOVAH iseverlasting strength:
For he bringethdown them thatdwell onhigh; theloftycity, he layeth itlow; he layeth itlow, even to theground; hebringeth it even to the dust.
Thefoot shall tread itdown, even thefeet of thepoor, and thesteps of the needy.
Theway of thejust isuprightness: thou, mostupright, dostweigh thepath of the just.
Yea, in theway of thyjudgments, OLORD, have wewaited for thee; thedesire of oursoul is to thyname, and to the remembrance of thee.
With mysoul have Idesired thee in thenight; yea, with myspiritwithin me will I seek theeearly: for when thyjudgments are in theearth, theinhabitants of theworld willlearn righteousness.
Let favour beshewed to thewicked, yet will henotlearnrighteousness: in theland ofuprightness will he dealunjustly, and willnotbehold themajesty of the LORD.
LORD, when thyhand is liftedup, they will notsee: but they shallsee, and beashamed for theirenvy at thepeople; yea, thefire of thineenemies shall devour them.
LORD, thou wiltordainpeace for us: for thou also hastwrought all our works in us.
OLORD ourGod, otherlordsbeside thee have haddominion over us: but by thee only will we makemention of thy name.
They aredead, they shall notlive; they aredeceased, they shall notrise: therefore hast thouvisited anddestroyed them, and made all theirmemory to perish.
Thou hastincreased thenation, OLORD, thou hastincreased thenation: thou artglorified: thou hadst removed itfar unto all theends of the earth.
LORD, introuble have theyvisited thee, they pouredout aprayer when thy chastening was upon them.
Like as a woman withchild, that drawethnear the time of herdelivery, is inpain, and criethout in herpangs; so have we been in thysight, O LORD.
We have been withchild, we have been inpain, we have as itwere broughtforthwind; we have notwrought anydeliverance in theearth;neither have theinhabitants of theworld fallen.
Thydead men shalllive, together with my deadbody shall theyarise.Awake andsing, ye thatdwell indust: for thydew is as thedew ofherbs, and theearth shall castout the dead.
Come, mypeople, enter thou into thychambers, andshut thydoors about thee:hide thyself as it were for alittlemoment, until theindignation be overpast.
For, behold, theLORD comethout of hisplace topunish theinhabitants of theearth for theiriniquity: theearth also shalldisclose herblood, and shall no morecover her slain.
