But now thussaith theLORD thatcreated thee, OJacob, and he thatformed thee, OIsrael,Fear not: for I haveredeemed thee, I havecalled thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passestthrough thewaters, I will be with thee; and through therivers, they shall notoverflow thee: when thouwalkestthrough thefire, thou shalt not beburned; neither shall theflame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am theLORD thyGod, the HolyOne ofIsrael, thySaviour: IgaveEgypt for thyransom,Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4 Since thou wastprecious in mysight, thou hast beenhonourable, and I haveloved thee: therefore will Igivemen for thee, andpeople for thy life.
5Fear not: for I am with thee: I willbring thyseed from theeast, andgather thee from the west;
6 I willsay to thenorth, Giveup; and to thesouth, Keep notback:bring mysons fromfar, and mydaughters from theends of the earth;
7 Even everyone that iscalled by myname: for I havecreated him for myglory, I haveformed him; yea, I have made him.
8 Bringforth theblindpeople thathaveeyes, and thedeaf that have ears.
9 Let all thenations begatheredtogether, and let thepeople beassembled: who among them candeclare this, andshew us formerthings? let them bringforth theirwitnesses, that they may bejustified: or let themhear, andsay, It is truth.
10 Ye are mywitnesses,saith theLORD, and myservant whom I havechosen: that ye mayknow andbelieve me, andunderstand that I am he:before me there was noGodformed, neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am theLORD; andbeside me there is no saviour.
12 I havedeclared, and havesaved, and I haveshewed, when there was nostrange god among you: therefore ye are mywitnesses,saith theLORD, that I am God.
13 Yea, before theday was I am he; and there is none that candeliver out of myhand: I willwork, and who shall let it?
14 Thussaith theLORD, yourredeemer, the HolyOne ofIsrael; For your sake I havesent toBabylon, and have broughtdown all theirnobles, and theChaldeans, whosecry is in the ships.
15 I am theLORD, your HolyOne, thecreator ofIsrael, your King.
16 Thussaith theLORD, whichmaketh away in thesea, and apath in themighty waters;
17 Which bringethforth thechariot andhorse, thearmy and thepower; they shall liedowntogether, they shall notrise: they areextinct, they arequenched as tow.
18Remember ye not the formerthings, neitherconsider the things of old.
19 Behold, I willdo a newthing; now it shall springforth; shall ye notknow it? I will evenmake away in thewilderness, andrivers in the desert.
20 Thebeast of thefield shallhonour me, thedragons and theowls: because Igivewaters in thewilderness, andrivers in thedesert, to givedrink to mypeople, my chosen.
21Thispeople have Iformed for myself; they shall shewforth my praise.
22 But thou hast notcalled upon me, OJacob; but thou hast beenweary of me, O Israel.
23 Thou hast notbrought me the smallcattle of thy burntofferings; neither hast thouhonoured me with thysacrifices. I have not caused thee toserve with anoffering, norwearied thee with incense.
24 Thou hastbought me no sweetcane withmoney, neither hast thoufilled me with thefat of thysacrifices: but thou hast made me toserve with thysins, thou hastwearied me with thine iniquities.
25 I, even I, am he that blottethout thytransgressions for mine own sake, and will notremember thy sins.
26 Put me inremembrance: let uspleadtogether:declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
27 Thyfirstfather hathsinned, and thyteachers have transgressed against me.
28 Therefore I haveprofaned theprinces of thesanctuary, and havegivenJacob to thecurse, andIsrael to reproaches.
