Why, seeingtimes are nothidden from theAlmighty, do they thatknow him notsee his days?
2 Someremove thelandmarks; they violently takeawayflocks, and feed thereof.
3 They driveaway theass of thefatherless, theytake thewidow'sox for a pledge.
4 Theyturn theneedy out of theway: thepoor of theearthhide themselves together.
5 Behold, as wildasses in thedesert, go theyforth to theirwork; risingbetimes for aprey: thewilderness yieldethfood for them and for their children.
6 Theyreap every one hiscorn in thefield: and theygather thevintage of the wicked.
7 They cause thenaked tolodge withoutclothing, that they have nocovering in the cold.
8 They arewet with theshowers of themountains, andembrace therock for want of a shelter.
9 Theypluck thefatherless from thebreast, and take apledge of the poor.
10 They cause him togonaked withoutclothing, and they takeaway thesheaf from the hungry;
11 Which makeoilwithin theirwalls, andtread theirwinepresses, and suffer thirst.
12Mengroan from out of thecity, and thesoul of thewounded criethout: yetGodlayeth not folly to them.
13 They are of those thatrebel against thelight; theyknow not theways thereof, norabide in the paths thereof.
14 Themurdererrising with thelightkilleth thepoor andneedy, and in thenight is as a thief.
15 Theeye also of theadultererwaiteth for thetwilight,saying, Noeye shallsee me: anddisguiseth his face.
16 In thedark they digthroughhouses, which they hadmarked for themselves in thedaytime: theyknow not the light.
17 For themorning is to them evenas the shadow ofdeath: if oneknow them, they are in theterrors of the shadow of death.
18 He isswift as thewaters; theirportion iscursed in theearth: hebeholdeth not theway of the vineyards.
19Drought andheatconsume thesnowwaters: so doth thegrave those which have sinned.
20 Thewomb shallforget him; theworm shall feedsweetly on him; he shall be no moreremembered; andwickedness shall bebroken as a tree.
21 He evilentreateth thebarren thatbeareth not: and doeth notgood to the widow.
22 Hedraweth also themighty with hispower: he risethup, and no man issure of life.
23 Though it begiven him to be insafety, whereon heresteth; yet hiseyes are upon their ways.
24 They areexalted for a littlewhile, but are gone and broughtlow; they are takenout of theway as all other, and cutoff as thetops of the ears of corn.
25 And if it be not sonow, who willmake me aliar, andmake myspeech nothing worth?
