And thelot of thechildren ofJosephfell fromJordan byJericho, unto thewater ofJericho on theeast, to thewilderness that goethup fromJericho throughoutmount Bethel,
2 And goethout fromBethel toLuz, and passethalong unto theborders ofArchi to Ataroth,
3 And goethdownwestward to thecoast ofJaphleti, unto thecoast ofBethhoron thenether, and toGezer: and the goingsout thereof are at the sea.
4 So thechildren ofJoseph,Manasseh andEphraim, took their inheritance.
5 And theborder of thechildren ofEphraim according to theirfamilies was thus: even theborder of theirinheritance on the eastside wasAtarothaddar, untoBethhoron the upper;
6 And theborder wentout toward thesea toMichmethah on the northside; and theborder wentabouteastward untoTaanathshiloh, andpassed by it on theeast to Janohah;
7 And it wentdown fromJanohah toAtaroth, and toNaarath, andcame toJericho, and wentout at Jordan.
8 Theborder wentout fromTappuahwestward unto theriverKanah; and the goingsout thereof were at thesea. This is theinheritance of thetribe of thechildren ofEphraim by their families.
9 And theseparatecities for thechildren ofEphraim wereamong theinheritance of thechildren ofManasseh, all thecities with their villages.
10 And they drave notout theCanaanites thatdwelt inGezer: but theCanaanitesdwellamong theEphraimites unto thisday, andserve under tribute.
