KJV · Textus Receptus
He that dasheth inpieces is comeup before thyface:keep themunition, watch theway, make thyloinsstrong, fortify thypower mightily.
For theLORD hath turnedaway theexcellency ofJacob, as theexcellency ofIsrael: for theemptiers have emptied themout, andmarred their vine branches.
Theshield of his mightymen is madered, thevaliantmen are inscarlet: thechariots shall be withflamingtorches in theday of hispreparation, and the firtrees shall be terribly shaken.
Thechariots shallrage in thestreets, they shall justle one againstanother in the broadways: they shallseem liketorches, they shallrun like the lightnings.
He shallrecount hisworthies: they shallstumble in theirwalk; they shall makehaste to thewall thereof, and thedefence shall be prepared.
Thegates of therivers shall beopened, and thepalace shall be dissolved.
AndHuzzab shall be led awaycaptive, she shall be broughtup, and hermaids shalllead her as with thevoice ofdoves, tabering upon their breasts.
ButNineveh is ofold like apool ofwater: yet they shall fleeaway.Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
Take ye thespoil ofsilver, take thespoil ofgold: for there is noneend of thestore andglory out of all thepleasant furniture.
She isempty, andvoid, andwaste: and theheartmelteth, and theknees smitetogether, and muchpain is in allloins, and thefaces of them allgather blackness.
Where is thedwelling of thelions, and thefeedingplace of the younglions, where thelion, even the oldlion, walked, and thelion'swhelp, and none made them afraid?
Thelion did tear inpiecesenough for hiswhelps, andstrangled for hislionesses, andfilled hisholes withprey, and hisdens with ravin.
Behold, I am against thee, saith theLORD ofhosts, and I willburn herchariots in thesmoke, and thesword shalldevour thy younglions: and I will cutoff thyprey from theearth, and thevoice of thymessengers shall no more be heard.
