4 And thiswork of thecandlestick was ofbeatengold, unto theshaft thereof, unto theflowers thereof, was beatenwork: according unto thepattern which theLORD hadshewedMoses, so hemade the candlestick.
5 And theLORDspake untoMoses, saying,
6Take theLevites fromamong thechildren ofIsrael, and cleanse them.
7 And thus shalt thoudo unto them, tocleanse them:Sprinklewater ofpurifying upon them, and let themshave all theirflesh, and let themwash theirclothes, and so make themselves clean.
8 Then let themtake ayoungbullock with his meatoffering, even fineflourmingled withoil, andanotheryoungbullock shalt thoutake for a sin offering.
9 And thou shaltbring theLevitesbefore thetabernacle of thecongregation: and thou shaltgather the wholeassembly of thechildren ofIsrael together:
10 And thou shaltbring theLevitesbefore theLORD: and thechildren ofIsrael shallput theirhands upon the Levites:
11 AndAaron shalloffer theLevitesbefore theLORD for anoffering of thechildren ofIsrael, that they mayexecute theservice of the LORD.
12 And theLevites shalllay theirhands upon theheads of thebullocks: and thou shaltoffer theone for a sinoffering, and theother for a burntoffering, unto theLORD, to make anatonement for the Levites.
13 And thou shaltset theLevitesbeforeAaron, andbefore hissons, andoffer them for anoffering unto the LORD.
14 Thus shalt thouseparate theLevites fromamong thechildren ofIsrael: and the Levites shall be mine.
15 Andafter that shall theLevites goin to do theservice of thetabernacle of thecongregation: and thou shaltcleanse them, andoffer them for an offering.
16 For they are whollygiven unto me fromamong thechildren ofIsrael; instead of such asopen everywomb, even instead of thefirstborn of all thechildren ofIsrael, have I taken them unto me.
17 For all thefirstborn of thechildren ofIsrael are mine, bothman andbeast: on theday that Ismote everyfirstborn in theland ofEgypt I sanctified them for myself.
18 And I havetaken theLevites for all thefirstborn of thechildren of Israel.
19 And I havegiven theLevites as agift toAaron and to hissons fromamong thechildren ofIsrael, todo theservice of thechildren ofIsrael in thetabernacle of thecongregation, and to make anatonement for thechildren ofIsrael: that there be noplague among thechildren ofIsrael, when thechildren ofIsrael comenigh unto the sanctuary.
20 AndMoses, andAaron, and all thecongregation of thechildren ofIsrael,did to theLevites according unto all that theLORDcommandedMoses concerning theLevites, sodid thechildren of Israel unto them.
21 And theLevites werepurified, and theywashed theirclothes; andAaronoffered them as anofferingbefore theLORD; andAaron made anatonement for them to cleanse them.
22 Andafter thatwent theLevites in todo theirservice in thetabernacle of thecongregationbeforeAaron, andbefore hissons: as theLORD hadcommandedMoses concerning theLevites, so did they unto them.
23 And theLORDspake untoMoses, saying,
24 This is it that belongeth unto theLevites: fromtwenty andfiveyearsold andupward they shall goin towait upon theservice of thetabernacle of the congregation:
25 And from theage offiftyyears they shallceasewaiting upon theservice thereof, and shall serve no more:
26 But shallminister with theirbrethren in thetabernacle of thecongregation, tokeep thecharge, and shalldo noservice. Thus shalt thoudo unto theLevites touching their charge.
