KJV · Textus Receptus
Praise ye theLORD. O givethanks unto theLORD; for he isgood: for hismercy endureth for ever.
Who canutter the mightyacts of theLORD? who can shewforth all his praise?
Blessed are they thatkeepjudgment, and he thatdoethrighteousness at all times.
Remember me, OLORD, with thefavour that thou bearest unto thypeople: Ovisit me with thy salvation;
That I maysee thegood of thychosen, that I mayrejoice in thegladness of thynation, that I mayglory with thine inheritance.
We havesinned with ourfathers, we have committediniquity, we have done wickedly.
Ourfathersunderstood not thywonders inEgypt; theyremembered not themultitude of thymercies; butprovoked him at thesea, even at theRed sea.
Nevertheless hesaved them for hisname's sake, that he might make his mightypower to be known.
Herebuked theRedsea also, and it was driedup: so heled them through thedepths, as through the wilderness.
And hesaved them from thehand of him thathated them, andredeemed them from thehand of the enemy.
And thewaterscovered theirenemies: there was notone of them left.
Thenbelieved they hiswords; theysang his praise.
Theysoonforgat hisworks; theywaited not for his counsel:
Butlustedexceedingly in thewilderness, andtemptedGod in the desert.
And hegave them theirrequest; butsentleanness into their soul.
TheyenviedMoses also in thecamp, andAaron thesaint of the LORD.
Theearthopened and swallowedupDathan, andcovered thecompany of Abiram.
And afire waskindled in theircompany; theflame burnedup the wicked.
Theymade acalf inHoreb, andworshipped the molten image.
Thus theychanged theirglory into thesimilitude of anox thateateth grass.
TheyforgatGod theirsaviour, which haddone greatthings in Egypt;
Wondrousworks in theland ofHam, and terriblethings by theRed sea.
Therefore hesaid that he woulddestroy them, hadnotMoses hischosenstoodbefore him in thebreach, to turnaway hiswrath, lest he should destroy them.
Yea, theydespised thepleasantland, theybelieved not his word:
Butmurmured in theirtents, andhearkened not unto thevoice of the LORD.
Therefore he liftedup hishand against them, tooverthrow them in the wilderness:
Tooverthrow theirseed also among thenations, and toscatter them in the lands.
Theyjoined themselves also untoBaalpeor, andate thesacrifices of the dead.
Thus they provoked him toanger with theirinventions: and theplague brake in upon them.
Then stoodupPhinehas, and executedjudgment: and so theplague was stayed.
And that wascounted unto him forrighteousness untoallgenerationsfor evermore.
Theyangered him also at thewaters ofstrife, so that it wentill with Moses for their sakes:
Because theyprovoked hisspirit, so that he spakeunadvisedly with his lips.
They did notdestroy thenations, concerning whom theLORD commanded them:
But weremingled among theheathen, andlearned their works.
And theyserved theiridols: which were a snare unto them.
Yea, theysacrificed theirsons and theirdaughters unto devils,
Andshedinnocentblood, even theblood of theirsons and of theirdaughters, whom theysacrificed unto theidols ofCanaan: and theland waspolluted with blood.
Thus were theydefiled with their ownworks, and went awhoring with their own inventions.
Therefore was thewrath of theLORDkindled against hispeople, insomuch that heabhorred his own inheritance.
And hegave them into thehand of theheathen; and they thathated them ruled over them.
Theirenemies alsooppressed them, and they were brought intosubjection under their hand.
Manytimes did hedeliver them; but theyprovoked him with theircounsel, and were broughtlow for their iniquity.
Nevertheless heregarded theiraffliction, when heheard their cry:
And heremembered for them hiscovenant, andrepented according to themultitude of his mercies.
Hemade them also to bepitiedof all those that carried them captives.
Save us, OLORD ourGod, andgather us from among theheathen, to givethanks unto thyholyname, and totriumph in thy praise.
Blessed be theLORDGod ofIsrael fromeverlasting toeverlasting: and let all thepeoplesay,Amen.Praise ye the LORD.
