[A Psalm ofDavid.]LORD, Icry unto thee: makehaste unto me; giveear unto myvoice, when I cry unto thee.
2 Let myprayer be setforthbefore thee asincense; and the liftingup of myhands as theevening sacrifice.
3Set awatch, OLORD, before mymouth;keep thedoor of my lips.
4Incline not myheart to anyevilthing, topractisewickedworks withmen thatworkiniquity: and let me noteat of their dainties.
5 Let therighteoussmite me; it shall be akindness: and let himreprove me; it shall be anexcellentoil, which shall notbreak myhead: for yet myprayer also shall be in their calamities.
6 When theirjudges areoverthrown instonyplaces, they shallhear mywords; for they are sweet.
7 Ourbones arescattered at thegrave'smouth, as when onecutteth andcleaveth wood upon the earth.
8 But mineeyes are unto thee, OGOD theLord: in thee is mytrust;leave not mysoul destitute.
9Keep me from thesnares which they havelaid for me, and thegins of theworkers of iniquity.
10 Let thewickedfall into their ownnets, whilst that Iwithal escape.
