KJV · Textus Receptus
[A Psalm ofDavid.]Fret not thyself because ofevildoers, neither be thouenvious against theworkers of iniquity.
For they shallsoon be cutdown like thegrass, andwither as thegreen herb.
Trust in theLORD, anddogood; so shalt thoudwell in theland, andverily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in theLORD; and he shallgive thee thedesires of thine heart.
Commit thyway unto theLORD;trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bringforth thyrighteousness as thelight, and thyjudgment as the noonday.
Rest in theLORD, and waitpatiently for him:fret not thyself because of him whoprospereth in hisway, because of theman whobringeth wickeddevices to pass.
Cease fromanger, andforsakewrath:fret not thyself in anywise to do evil.
Forevildoers shall be cutoff: but those thatwait upon theLORD, they shallinherit the earth.
For yet a littlewhile, and thewicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligentlyconsider his place, and it shall not be.
But themeek shallinherit theearth; and shalldelight themselves in theabundance of peace.
Thewickedplotteth against thejust, andgnasheth upon him with his teeth.
TheLord shalllaugh at him: for heseeth that hisday is coming.
Thewicked have drawnout thesword, and havebent theirbow, to castdown thepoor andneedy, and toslay such as be ofupright conversation.
Theirsword shallenter into their ownheart, and theirbows shall be broken.
Alittle that a righteousman hath isbetter than theriches ofmany wicked.
For thearms of thewicked shall bebroken: but theLORDupholdeth the righteous.
TheLORDknoweth thedays of theupright: and theirinheritance shall be for ever.
They shall not beashamed in theeviltime: and in thedays offamine they shall be satisfied.
But thewicked shallperish, and theenemies of theLORD shall be as thefat oflambs: they shallconsume; intosmoke shall they consume away.
Thewickedborroweth, and payeth notagain: but therighteous shewethmercy, and giveth.
For such as beblessed of him shallinherit theearth; and they that becursed of him shall be cut off.
Thesteps of a goodman areordered by theLORD: and hedelighteth in his way.
Though hefall, he shall not be utterly castdown: for theLORDupholdeth him with his hand.
I have beenyoung, and now amold; yet have I notseen therighteousforsaken, nor hisseedbegging bread.
He isevermerciful, andlendeth; and hisseed is blessed.
Depart fromevil, anddogood; anddwell for evermore.
For theLORDlovethjudgment, andforsaketh not hissaints; they arepreserved forever: but theseed of thewicked shall be cut off.
Therighteous shallinherit theland, anddwell therein for ever.
Themouth of therighteousspeakethwisdom, and histonguetalketh of judgment.
Thelaw of hisGod is in hisheart; none of hissteps shall slide.
Thewickedwatcheth therighteous, andseeketh to slay him.
TheLORD will notleave him in hishand, norcondemn him when he is judged.
Wait on theLORD, andkeep hisway, and he shallexalt thee toinherit theland: when thewicked are cutoff, thou shalt see it.
I haveseen thewicked in greatpower, andspreading himself like agreen bay tree.
Yet he passedaway, and, lo, he was not: yea, Isought him, but he could not be found.
Mark theperfect man, andbehold theupright: for theend of thatman is peace.
But thetransgressors shall bedestroyedtogether: theend of thewicked shall be cut off.
But thesalvation of therighteous is of theLORD: he is theirstrength in thetime of trouble.
And theLORD shallhelp them, anddeliver them: he shalldeliver them from thewicked, andsave them, because they trust in him.
