Bynight on mybed Isought him whom mysoulloveth: Isought him, but I found him not.
2 I willrise now, and goabout thecity in thestreets, and in the broadways I willseek him whom mysoulloveth: Isought him, but I found him not.
3 Thewatchmen that goabout thecityfound me: to whom I said,Saw ye him whom mysoul loveth?
4 It was but alittle that Ipassed from them, but Ifound him whom mysoulloveth: Iheld him, and would not let himgo, until I hadbrought him into mymother'shouse, and into thechamber of her that conceived me.
5 Icharge you, O yedaughters ofJerusalem, by theroes,and by thehinds of thefield, that ye stir notup, norawake mylove, till he please.
6 Who is this thatcometh out of thewilderness likepillars ofsmoke,perfumed withmyrrh andfrankincense, with allpowders of the merchant?
7 Behold hisbed, which isSolomon's;threescorevaliant men areabout it, of thevaliant of Israel.
8 They allholdswords, beingexpert inwar: everyman hath hissword upon histhigh because offear in the night.
9KingSolomonmade himself achariot of thewood of Lebanon.
10 Hemade thepillars thereof ofsilver, thebottom thereof ofgold, thecovering of it ofpurple, themidst thereof beingpaved withlove, for thedaughters of Jerusalem.
11 Goforth, O yedaughters ofZion, andbeholdkingSolomon with thecrown wherewith hismothercrowned him in theday of hisespousals, and in theday of thegladness of his heart.
