KJV · Textus Receptus
Ask ye of theLORDrain in thetime of the latterrain; so theLORD shallmake brightclouds, andgive themshowers ofrain, to everyonegrass in the field.
For theidols havespokenvanity, and thediviners haveseen alie, and havetoldfalsedreams; theycomfort invain: therefore theywent their way as aflock, they weretroubled, because there was no shepherd.
Mineanger waskindled against theshepherds, and Ipunished thegoats: for theLORD ofhosts hathvisited hisflock thehouse ofJudah, and hathmade them as hisgoodlyhorse in the battle.
Out of him cameforth thecorner, out of him thenail, out of him thebattlebow, out of him everyoppressor together.
And they shall be asmighty men, which treaddown their enemies in themire of thestreets in thebattle: and they shallfight, because theLORD is with them, and theriders onhorses shall be confounded.
And I willstrengthen thehouse ofJudah, and I willsave thehouse ofJoseph, and I will bring them again toplace them; for I havemercy upon them: and they shall be asthough I had not cast themoff: for I am theLORD theirGod, and will hear them.
And they ofEphraim shall be like amighty man, and theirheart shallrejoice as throughwine: yea, theirchildren shallsee it, and beglad; theirheart shallrejoice in the LORD.
I willhiss for them, andgather them; for I haveredeemed them: and they shallincrease as they have increased.
And I willsow them among thepeople: and they shallremember me in farcountries; and they shalllive with theirchildren, and turn again.
I will bring themagain also out of theland ofEgypt, andgather them out ofAssyria; and I willbring them into theland ofGilead andLebanon; and place shall not be found for them.
And he shall passthrough thesea withaffliction, and shallsmite thewaves in thesea, and all thedeeps of theriver shall dryup: and thepride ofAssyria shall be broughtdown, and thesceptre ofEgypt shall depart away.
And I willstrengthen them in theLORD; and they shall walk up anddown in hisname, saith the LORD.
